These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the BastionProof website and services (“BastionProof,” “we,” “us,” “our”). By accessing or using BastionProof, you agree to these Terms.

1) The service

BastionProof provides tools for claim and inspection documentation, including photo capture workflows, server-recorded timestamps, optional GPS context, tamper-evident integrity checks, share links, and evidence exports.

2) Permissions

  • Camera access is required to capture photos.
  • Location access is optional and used only when you enable GPS context.
You can deny or revoke permissions at any time in your device/browser settings. Without camera access, the capture workflow will not function. Without location access, BastionProof will function but will not attach GPS context.

3) Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for all activity performed under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to upload and share any content (photos, notes, documents) you submit.

4) Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service. For example, you must not:

  • Upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service (including abuse, scraping, or denial-of-service activity).
  • Use the service to violate privacy rights or applicable laws.

5) Shared links

If you generate a share link, anyone with that link may be able to view the related evidence page. You are responsible for how and with whom you share links. Link expiry and access controls may vary by plan or configuration.

6) Disclaimers

No legal advice / no admissibility guarantee: BastionProof provides metadata and tamper-evident integrity checks, but we do not guarantee legal admissibility, compliance with any specific insurer requirements, or outcomes in disputes. Admissibility and acceptance depend on jurisdiction, claim process, and counsel.

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We disclaim all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

7) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BastionProof and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the service.

8) Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to BastionProof if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, or to protect the service, users, or others. You may stop using the service at any time.

9) Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice (for example, by posting on this page). Continued use of BastionProof after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
